Madeleine Baldwin, LCSW

Creating a safe place ...

I have 19 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) working with adults and children. I started my career as a psychotherapist in community mental health primarily providing therapy to children and adolescents who experienced trauma and abuse, difficulties with attention and behavior at school, self-harm behaviors, anxiety, depression, mood issues and parent relational conflicts. My work with adults has focused on treating Depression, PTSD, Substance Abuse Disorders, Partner Conflict, Anxiety, and Mood Disorders. Over the last sixteen years I have provided mental health care to Veterans and their families in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. Currently, my focus is providing Telehealth psychotherapy to adults and couples.

I utilize evidence-based treatment interventions including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution Focused Therapy to help my client’s reach their treatment goals.

I approach therapy as a partnership with my client and develop a treatment plan that best suits that individual’s goals and needs. I believe in creating a safe space for every one of my client’s and enjoy working with people from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. I believe that each person has the strength and ability to recover and lead a successful and fulfilling life. I’m looking forward to starting our work together!
